The Trek to Everest Chola Pass is an alternative trek to the traditional trek to the Everest Base Camp. One can have Everest Chola Pass clear view of Mt. Everest from Gokyo. The mountains are even more spectacular in the Gokyo valley. An interesting part is that four peaks above 8000 meters (Cho-Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu) can be seen from this scenic valley. As the most breathtaking view in the entire Khumbu region, the tremendous ice ridge between Cho-Oyu and Gyachung Kang (7622m) offers a thrilling experience. With many options for additional exploration and high altitude walking, include the crossing of the Cho-La Pass, at 5420m, one of the high passes in Solukhumbu, the trek may be the most memorable one. Other packages can also be made by combining the Gokyo trek with visits to Base Camp or Kala Pattar.
Detailed itinerary:
Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
Once you reach Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, a delegate from Bluebird Travel & Tours will welcome you and moreover give brief information on further program.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
We will be sightseeing UNESCO recorded cultural heritages such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath(monkey temple), and Pashupatinath in Kathmandu Valley the entire day. Stay overnight in Hotel.
Day 03: Flight to Lukla and trek to Phakding
After breakfast, we will take a flight to Lukla. Amid the flight, we will appreciate all encompassing perspectives of Himalayas of Nepal including Mt. Everest (8,848m), Mt. Makalu (8,463m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8153m), Mt. Lhotse (8,501m), Mt. Lhotse Shar (8,393m),Kanchenjunga, Gaurishankar, Ganesh, Langtang and so forth. From Lukla, you will head up the Dudh Koshi Valley towards Phakding
Day 04: Trek to Namche
Leaving Phakding, we will cross the stream twice through scaffolds and get in contact at Monjo – the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park which was set-up in order to guarantee and ensure the sensitive mountain condition. From here, we will follow the best approach to reach Namche, which is the noteworthy trading town in entire Khumbu range.
Day 05: Rest day in Namche
This is our rest day. We can likewise visit Khunde Hospital which was set up by Sir Edmund Hillary and Everest View Hotel for evening glimpse of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Ama Dablam.
Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Phortse Thanga
From Namche, you will progress towards Thame, which is an old Sherpa town dwelling along the Bhote Koshi river valley. Continuing with the adventure, we will head towards Khumjung. You will then trek from Khumjung to Phortse. Phortse is the rule Sherpa town where you can again watch and value the socio-cultural part of the community.
Day 07: Phortse Thanga to Dole
To help with acclimatization, you will invest a short energy trekking today. The trail first trips steeply out of the valley crossing delightful rhododendron timberlands. You will then pass a herders' cottage and move to Dole.
Day 08: Dole to Machhermo
The trail climbs steeply to a solitary cabin at Lhabarma. We will then pass a little settlement of Luza and keep on climbing at the edge of the valley high over the river to Machhermo.
Day 09: Machhermo to Gokyo
From Machhermo, today, you will follow the way to Gokyo. The trail climbs an edge for a fabulous view both down the valley to Kantega and upwards to Cho Oyu. Past the edge, the valley broadens as the trail reaches the little town of Pangka Nilibuk. From that point, you will reach the edge heading towards a little lake Longponga and after that another lake Tauja. Finally you will make a scale a boulder-strewn way to Gokyo.
Day 10: Gokyo – Gokyo Ri-Gokyo
Gokyo offers shocking viewpoints of Cho Oyu, Gyanchung Kang, Everest, Lothse, Makalu, Cholatse and Tawachee some of the time. For the best view, we will climb Gokyo Ri (5483m) going before returning to Gokyo town.
Day 11: Gokyo – Thangna
Today, you will be crossing the Gokyo glacier advancing downwards to the town of Thangna, arranged at the very shore of the Ngozumpa Glacier.
Day 12: Thangna - Dzongla by means of Chola pass
The pass from Thangna to Dzongla is not troublesome. In any case, it is steep and includes an ice sheet intersection and takes around five and half hours to finish. There's a slight rising along the valley towards Chola pass, which is secured with blue ice more often than not. From here you can appreciate the perspectives of different mountains before the trail plunges the distance to Dzongla.
Day 13: Dzongla to Lobuche

Day 14: - Lobuche - Gorak Shep - Everest base camp - Gorak Shep
Your last objective for now is Gorak Shep. To reach Gorak Shep you ought to pass Kala Patthar and Khumbu masses incorporated by astoundingly stunning snow-clad mountains. Three hours of further walking and we will be at Gorak Shep.
Day 15: Gorak Shep - KalaPathar-Pheriche

Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, and Mt. Thamserku.
Day 16: Pheriche - Phortse
Today we will trek from Pheriche to Phortse. Phortse is the essential Sherpa town around this trail where you can watch and value the social part of the community. Phortse is furthermore an amazing spot to see Musk Deer and Danphe (national bird of Nepal).
Day 17: Phortse –Khumjung - Namche
Today, we will proceed with the trip and stroll through excellent timberlands of Rhododendrons, Birch and Willows. We will stroll to Khumjung village and plummet towards Namche Bazaar for an overnight remain.
Day 18: Namche Bazaar to Lukla
This will be the last day of the trek and our definitive goal is Lukla. After reaching Lukla at night, we will have some rest and then appreciate neighborhood drinks of local Sherpa community.
Day 19: Flight to Kathmandu
After having breakfast, we will take a flight back to Kathmandu. After reaching the Kathmandu air terminal, our guide will escort you to the assigned hotel.
Day 20: Depart Kathmandu
After breakfast, we will drive you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight back home.
